A
spiritual partnership is a formally recognized
relationship between the Suquamish United Church
of Christ and other communities of faith that
share the church's core values of respect,
inclusiveness, fairness, and equality.
This select group of
faith communities will be recognized as full
partners of faith and will have the following
benefits and responsibilities:
- Spiritual
Partners will have priority usage of church
facilities in conjunction with regular
church functions.
- It is
expected that Spiritual Partners will make
voluntary financial contributions to the
ongoing maintenance and continuance of the
church as appropriate.
- Spiritual
Partners will have access to the church's
newsletter and Sunday bulletins for event
announcement and articles.
- Spiritual
Partners will have the ability to access our
church members through inserts in the
regular newsletter.
- Spiritual
Partners will be invited to conduct regular
worship at the church in the traditions
honored by their faith community.
- Spiritual
Partners will be expected to invite church
members and friends to participate in
worship in the traditions of the partner.
- Both faith
communities will seek opportunities to
participate in spiritual education
opportunities and community outreach
programs together.
