A
Valentine from the
Suquamish United Church of Christ...
I'm Yours!
Recently we approved the budget -- columns of income and
expenditures that add up to deficit spending.
We
believe that balancing the budget is a challenge that we
can meet, and we encourage everyone to help the church
work its way to financial solvency.
While
our books may need balancing, we are a healthy church in
so many ways. Right now as we work i the church
office on a snowy Monday, there are six volunteers
working on the rummage sale, someone practicing the
piano, three chldren playing, and one baby sleeping.
We are
truly blessed and healthy -- in Spirit, in Community,
and with the Earth.
"And
that is not all. Giving happens. It
spills out of this abundance unrestricted, an act of
gratefulness itself. It completes this
spiraling circle of grace. Gratefulness and
Giving call each other forth like partners dancing
in loving service to our community."
(Thanks to Marlene Curnow)
In many different ways, each one of us found the
Suquamish United Church of Christ and the Blessings of
belonging. For that abundance we are all grateful.
