A Picture of God
By Cami Maston
It doesn't matter, he or she,
it doesn't matter, black or white
God is out there.
I see God in the little things
like a pebble on the path
or the air we breathe.
That man sees God in big Synagogues or in
the preacher's stand,
I see God in everything.
It doesn't matter if God is a boy or
girl,
man or woman, black or white.
God is everywhere, in a little pebble, or
in a swelling stream,
in the road you ride your bike on, or the church bench
you sit on,
God is everywhere.
God is different in everyone's head.
I think of God as a woman.
She thinks of God as a child.
God is everywhere.
In a tree or on a branch.
It doesn't matter because She is always
there.
In a child's toy or the front seat of
your car,
in the air we breathe or the water you drink.
I think God is everywhere.
