Influences
The most influential person in the
church for me has been Virginia Johnson. From putting
kettles of water on the stove in the kitchen to cleaning
up the church, she fills in any place where anyone is
needed... she's right there! And she's always very
pleasant about it.
Virginia did the hospitality committee
with Helga a very long, long time ... i.e.., all the
weddings, funerals, memorials, baby showers and they
were always very graciously done without any complaints
or grumbling.
She greeted new members as if they were
old friends.
Virginia is known 'worldwide' for her
delicious lemon pies, in addition to all her other very
tasty potluck dishes.
I think the church would come close to
'folding up' without Virginia Johnson. She's quite a
person.
Virginia continues to visit me even
though I can't attend church very often anymore and I
live a ways away from the church. I really appreciate
Virginia Johnson."
