Congratulations, Thomas Maier!!
"God's
Favorite" at the
Renton Civic
Theatre
Thomas
Maier plays David Benjamin, the
disenfranchised son of Joe (Job) in the Renton Civic
Theatre's production of God's Favorite. A funny play by
Neil Simon loosely based on the biblical book of Job.
The play is about a tycoon, his wife, a prodigal son,
and a pair of kooky twins.
Joe Benjamin is the main character who suffers a test of
faith, much like his biblical counterpart. He believes
he's been chosen to show the world how much a man can
love God. He is surrounded by a dysfunctional family
and a guest who just might be the devil himself!
Simon combines humor and pathos effectively to tell this
story of love, faith and tenacity in a world gone mad.
The play will run February 3 through 20. (Feb. 3 is
already sold out!)
Thursdays at 7:30 pm
Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm
Sundays at 2:00 pm
