Women's January Book
Group
The January meeting of the Women's Book Group was a
great turnout, and we all enjoyed a delicious Chinese
potluck as we discussed Pearl Buck's Pulitzer
prize-winning book, "The Good Earth."
We
had a lively discussion, which included our admiration
for a great writer who was probably ahead of her time as
a woman writer in 1931.
Several
had read the book as teenagers ... and saw it through
new eyes as an older adult in the 21st century!
