Day of Prayer
"Let Our
Light Shine"

Our church will be hosting services for the
World Day of
Prayer on March 4th at 1:00 pm.
Everyone
is invited!!
This
year’s World Day of Prayer theme encourages women and
men to respond to Jesus’ challenge in the Sermon on the
Mount: “Let Our Light Shine.” We are asked to
share the talents which we have received, as well as the
special gifts of grace and light received in Christian
baptism. Our light, after all, only reflects the great
LIGHT which came into the world and identified Himself
as that light — Jesus Christ.
Please join us, and the women of Poland who wrote the
program for Church Women United this year, along with
men and women in 170 churches around the world, as we
lift our prayers and songs to support women’s ecumenical
ministries toward peace and justice.
The Church Women United (CWU) of North Kitsap includes
St. Olaf's, First Lutheran, and Vinland Lutheran.
