   Rev. Sally Balmer

 

 

Sally grew up in Portland, Oregon, and has continued to be a fan of the West Coast ever since. She moved to the Kitsap Peninsula in 1998 from Berkeley, California, where she had served Peace United Church of Christ as pastor.

In past years, Rev. Balmer served as Volunteer Coordinator at Eden UCC, worked as an interviewer and group facilitator with the Northern California Cancer Center's Younger Women with Breast Cancer Project, and assisted several congregations engaged in the Open and Affirming process. She has also worked with youth and congregations in Aberdeen, Richland, and Tacoma (where her love of — and work in — coffeehouses also took root!).  She has an M.Div. from Vancouver School of Theology in Vancouver, B.C.
