Diana Cheifetz
Diana
Nishita Cheifetz grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area.
She worked in Presbyterian churches in Oregon and
Washington alongside her pastor husband, Jeff, before
coming to Suquamish UCC.
She
received her Certificate in the Art of Spiritual
Direction (1996), and her Masters of Divinity (2003)
from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and was
ordained by San Francisco Presbytery later that year.
She has
also served as Interim Associate Pastor at Calvary
Presbyterian Church in San Francisco, as well as working
in the area of Christian spirituality, including
providing spiritual direction and training others in
spiritual direction.
As of this writing, Diana is serving as a spiritual
director and as adjunct faculty at San Francisco
Theological Seminary. She and her husband Jeff have a
daughter, Laura, who will soon graduate from McCormick
Theological Seminary in Chicago, and a son, David, who
is an architect in Seattle.
Diana writes, "My time at Suquamish UCC was a very
powerful and graced time for me. It was a
privilege and joy to serve there, and this congregation
and its members and friends continue to have a very
special place in my heart."
